Spud Nik is a stealth and farming game with an "Arts and Crafts," Mixed Media/Claymation art style, currently in production by Clay Hands. The game centralizes on a lone potato farmer, Niklaus and his quest to retrieve his stolen farming tools from Hans the Hand's evil minions. I served as the chief User Interface Artist, rigged, and animated characters.
The icons for the Heads Up Display are characterized by a crayon drawn object on a cardboard texture of similar shape. To bring the User Interface closer to the 3D world of the game, certain assets were placed on craft sticks to give a believable reason for camera-permanent "floating" icons.
The font, "Spuds," was created to appeal to a fun-filled whimsical aesthetic, while assuring consistency across all screens.
The icons for the shop are characterized by icons and text with a construction paper texture creating the look of paper cutting.
The icons for the main menu are characterized by text on a wood-textured sign, creating the look of painted wood.
The standard enemy's movements are characterized by dramatic arm movements that show their soldier-like, aggressive nature in a cute manner. (Model created by Danny Antezana).

All UI elements were created in Illustrator. All Animations were created in Maya.
